The presence of a full-featured smartphone with affordable prices has destroyed business manufacturers of portable music players and personal digital assistants (PDAs). Not just stop there, smartphones are now expected to re-take its toll.

According to recent studies conducted by research agency NPD, a device that will soon be eliminated from the competition is a point-and-shoot camcorder cheap and low end. The trend can be seen from the trends in the industry.

As an illustration, according to NPD data, the percentage of photos taken using smartphones rose to 27 percent in 2011. The numbers rose from 17 percent in the same period last year.

Although smartphones in general have not been able to approach the camera point-and-shoot even the cheapest of the image quality, but the smartphone is more practical.

Smartphones also typically are not equipped with optical components for serious photography so it can provide a wide shot or a good zoom. Rarely even got a nice flash. Even so, many consumers who feel the camera phone is enough to meet the needs.
